Many residents have noticed a decrease in water pressure over the last several months.

The Property Manager was told to notify Pennichuck Water. They told him it was an issue related to all the the irrigation systems turning on at the same time.

I am not convinced their explanation is satisfactory. I for one had not noticed it being this bad in prior years.

    Bob,

I used a “First Alert” kit I bought in Lowes for about $15. It includes the cost of the Laboratory analysis and report. I believe the kit you buy in Home Depot entails an extra cost for the laboratory analysis. Quite a few residents have used the First Alert kit.

The cost for correction varies widely. Some people paid up to a $1000 to have it done by an outside professional. Pat Pannese bought the necessary parts and installed his own for about $150. He said it was real easy. Other residents have also installed their own.

    Bob,

My experience is that Crack X does a good job. My cracks occurred under warranty so I don’t know from experience what they charge. I heard they charge about $600.

Unfortunately, they are not covering it under warranty for people who have lived here as long as us.

    Bob,

I just updated the meeting minutes on this web site.

You can find them under the “Hickory Woods HOA” drop down menu.

The grey dust may be concrete dust coming from your basement floor. When we moved in I had to repeatedly vacuum the basement to remove all of the concrete dust residue.

In view of the information just released by the BOD, this was obviously inaccurate information.

See “Voting for New Board Members” posted by the BOD today.

    Bob,

I have been told on good authority:
    – The only people who will become Board members are those who receive affirmative votes from a majority of the Unit Holders. (roughly 40 or more votes)
    – No one will be installed on the board by default.
    – If three people are not elected, the Board will again advertise for candidates and the process will start over.
    – In addition a detailed accounting of the votes cast and for whom will be available after the election for those who are interested.

If anyone has better information, feel free to jump in and correct me.

We have not had a problem with hawks.

If I were you, I would go ahead and put up my feeders.
