      From Dick and Vern Loschi:

We were talking with our electrician about our smoke and CO alarms. They are usually replaced about every ten years.

We have decided to have our smoke detectors replaced. We called our electrician, Chad Woods, who came out to our house to check out placement of the ones we have now. We have six detectors, 4 smoke detectors and 2 smoke/CO detectors. By NH law, a CO detector must be on every floor of the house.

Chad’s usual fee is $175, however if there are multiple people that want to have their detectors changed, he would charge $100 cash or $150 check. That is for six detectors. He has suggested a type of detector. The brand is the Kiddie Fire Ex. Each home will be responsible for buying their own detectors.

If you are interested in Chad changing your alarms, please let us know. He could do a number of homes per day. There is no timeline as of yet.

If you want to contact Chad for any questions, ie. the type of detectors , don’t hesitate to call him:

We also had our smoke detectors all changed recently. We were not aware of this special and went with a local electrician. We purchased 6 detectors. The ones purchased were the 10 year worry free by Kidde. The batteries are good for 10 years and we won’t need to charge them again for 10 years. The electrician charged us $100 for changing them all. He came the same day we called and we were very pleased with his service. He even took down my foyer lights for me so that I could wash them and put them back for me. No charge.. 😊
Just thought this would be another option for anyone looking for electrical services.
