When driving north on I-93, I see the new Exit 4A which appears to be completed. When I drive into Derry, I see a new road being developed through the woods from Exit 4A into northwest Derry. At this time, I see nothing on the Londonderry side of the new exit. Also, I have seen nothing published in the local weekly rags. Just curious if anyone has heard any rumors of Londonderry connecting to Exit 4A. If I hear of any plans I will follow-up on this discussion board. – Sterling Hough

I had read several years ago (either Derry News, Londonderry Times or both) that Derry and Londonderry contributed $5 million each towards the then anticipated $57 million construction of exit 4A. The only mention was an exit/entrance on the Derry side which in theory was to help eliminate congestion at exit 4 for both Londonderry and Derry. I have never experienced excessive congestion around exit 4 in our 40 years in Londonderry. I have not heard or read about plans for an exit or entrance on the Londonderry side. My concern then was why did Londonderry contribute to this project but I never made further inquiry.
