      Humming birds showed up last Monday, 5/9/16.
      So far we have seen only males. The females should follow shortly.

      This morning, while we were eating breakfast, we saw an Indigo Bunting.
      Spectacular!!

      Great! Will get my feeder set up!

      Any concerns with Hawks in the area, with a regular bird feeder. Hummingbirds are fast, so I,m not
      Afraid for them. I miss my birds and would like to have both feeders. What do you think?

        We have not had a problem with hawks.

        If I were you, I would go ahead and put up my feeders.

      Phil and I saw a Red-bellied Woodpecker at our suet feeder. This makes four varieties of Woodpeckers we have seen so far here at Hickory Woods – the Hairy Woodpecker, the Downy Woodpecker, the Northern Flicker and now the Red-bellied. The suet really seems to attract them.

      All of you who love and feed the birds should post what you see so we can all keep a watchful eye.

      Nature can really be amazing.
