When you leave your house in the morning or late afternoon is your garage door refusing to close but otherwise closes just fine? The problem is due to the sun shining directly onto the electric eye that detects obstructions. The electric eye is “blinded” by the sun and thinks there’s an obstruction.
The solution is quite simple. There is an electric eye sensor at the base of each door track near the floor. Simply swap the two sensors, e.g. move the one on the left side to the right side and vice versa. There are just two small wires carrying low voltage that connect the sensors plus a wing nut.
