~a hand me down recipe

1 cup soft shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cup flour

2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add in beaten eggs and mix well. Add in dry ingredients.

Chill dough. Roll into balls about the size of a walnut and roll in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes
