First of all, I’d like to thank the present and retired Board Members for all their hard work and accomplishments over the last few months. That list that came around showed the many hours that were put in to get our Homeowners Association up and running.
Here’s an idea for going forward that might give the community more of a sense of how the Board works:
What if there was a monthly meeting of the Board that residents could attend and hear the Board discuss issues of thee community, but the residents would not participate at this time. An agenda on the website could be posted in advance. Any questions or opinions on the topics discussed could be emailed by interested residents to the Board following the meeting.
To be honest, after a few of these open meetings, it might turn out that, like local civic meetings, people become satisfied that their elected officials are doing their job, and the community leaves the running of things in their good hands.
