Update 11/5/2022:  Leading up to Halloween 2022, we gave out almost 600 costumes in Manchester and Nashua. We accept any costumes,  sizes infant to 3x adult.  The most popular sizes this year were toddlers and teenagers. We are very grateful for the volunteers for our first SCARE Costume Drive at Londonderry Flea Market.  It was not a successful day for costumes but it was a huge success in other ways. Spending a great sunny day socializing with our neighbors!  THANKS to Kris and Phyllis and to the Londonderry Flea Market. If you missed the 11/5 dropoff, you may leave donations at our home, 27 Quarry Road.

10/6/2022: As many may know Rick and I are Halloween enthusiasts, and we recently joined the board of directors of a great organization- S.C.A.R.E.

S.C.A.R.E stands for Secondhand Costume Annual Redistribution Effort – a long name for a simple concept.  

We believe that all children deserve to enjoy the fun & magic of Halloween, but we also understand that families sometimes need to prioritize food and shelter over Halloween costumes and activities.  S.C.A.R.E. was born so no child feels left out or left behind. Our mission is to provide Halloween costumes and activities to children and families in need in Southern NH. We will collect and distribute both new and used costumes and create free haunt experiences to terrify and delight. https://scarenh.org

 WHAT WE NEED:

1. We are looking for volunteers to help with a Halloween costume drive.  The Londonderry Flea market has graciously donated the use of their site on Nov 5^th for people to drop off Halloween costumes.  We need volunteers to help the SCARE Team with the intake and sorting.   Hours are 10:00am to 1:00pm.   If you can volunteer for a couple hours on Nov 5^th to help us receive in and organize costumes at the Londonderry Flea Market,  please contact us.
2. Help us get the word out. Please let people know about the costume drive on Nov 5^th.  Also share our website with friends and family https://scarenh.org   We have posted the schedule for our COSTUME DISTRIBUTION DAYS and SPOOKEVILLE HAUNT.  This year’s theme is “Haunted Acre Woods”
